Food production, distribution and its ancillary industries are a vital sector to any economy. Today with the incidence of disasters throughout the world, each country individually as well as together will require increased attention towards food security. In the context of Sri Lanka as a country emerging from civil conflict, there is immense potential to further develop food production and related industries as there were major setbacks faced during the conflict years.

Agriculture and Fisheries is a core sector of RDC consultancy services from its formative years in the 1970s decade.
