World Bank Funded Road Sector Assistance Project – Consulting Services for Selection, Feasibility Studies and Design of National Roads

A primary task of the consultant was to carry out techno economic feasibility studies on the 1,300 kms. of national roads already identified for rehabilitation through a Strategic Study and provide a priority ranking. The improvement works were to comprise two types, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 consisted of widening to two lane / 4 lane from the existing lane width, pavement strengthening, improving the cross and side drainage. Type 2 comprised resurfacing / improving works involving strengthening of existing pavement and improving longitudinal and cross drainage provisions.
